I know she loves me
Because she sought me out
Because she said
*Mom, I love you.*
She took a picture of my Before teeth

She said:
*I love you*

And then:
*I love you mom!*

And then she left for school.
And so I know she loves me

And then I enter the kitchen.
Hear my husband on the phone:

*You want what?*
 And then he says:
*No, I’m not going to "video mom coming off anesthesia"*
 Which he follows with:
*No, I don’t care if "it’s a TikTok trend."*
*No. I love you. Yes; no.*
*Good luck at school.*

And then he hangs up.

So I know he loves me, too.
