I know she loves me
Because she sought me out
Because she said
Mom, I love you.
She took a picture of my Before teeth

She said:
I love you

And then:
I love you mom!

And then she left for school.
And so I know she loves me

And then I enter the kitchen.
Hear my husband on the phone:

You want what?
And then he says:
No, I’m not going to "video mom coming off anesthesia"
Which he follows with:
No, I don’t care if "it’s a TikTok trend."
No. I love you. Yes; no.
Good luck at school.

And then he hangs up.

So I know he loves me, too.
